Sex plays a significant role in shaping the rights and experiences of both women and men, including in work environments. It is important that biological sex is not confused with, conflated with, or replaced by, other concepts, such as gender or gender identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sex equality means that, where appropriate, men and women should be treated equally under the law and in public life.
